Alright, alright, so The Eberhard has gotten some hype over the past couple of weeks since its grand opening, and I finally got a chance to see what all the buzz was about for myself. Here's what I have to say...
Upon arrival, I was a little awestruck. The sparkling chandeliers, the tufted lounge couches, the backlit bar... Everything screamed glamour and elegance. This is the perfect place for girls' night out or maybe an elegant birthday dinner.
I was less impressed by the food and service. While not completely distasteful, I was expecting more variety in the food selection. We got the flat bread, pretzel sticks, and the ahi tuna tacos. Of the three, I would say the pretzel sticks were my favorite. They came with two different types of mustard, which were both pretty zesty and flavorful. As for service, it may have been that it was a Tuesday evening, but it didn't seem like they were at the top of their game.
On a positive note, this place is very spacious. There is plenty of seating and plenty of floor room to dance. I would recommend this place for drinks or going out at night.
Watch out Dallas, The Eberhard is an up and coming bar, and the possibly the next big hot spot for the Dallas nightlife.
