A little over a year ago, Fat Rabbit opened up in the center of Uptown, and since then, they have undoubtedly made their mark on Dallas nightlife with their spacious patio and VIP lounge and bar on the second floor. Along with their immense center bar, lined with TVs, this establishment makes for the perfect destination to grab drinks with friends and party into the night. I have actually stopped by during a girl's night out, and Fat Rabbit gets pretty crowded during prime time Uptown.
What I didn't know and what most people may not know, is the food scene at Fat Rabbit is just as considerable. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this restaurant uses locally sourced products and changes up their menu to fit seasonal produce. And being a Global-American eatery, there are options to suit just about any palate. That being said, we tried a bit of everything when we stopped by for dinner.
Here's what we ordered:
Spicy Rock Shrimp (with Sriracha mayo)
Yellow Curry Chicken
Shrimp and Avocado salad (topped with a raspberry vinaigrette)
Overall, we loved the menu - a lot of variety with flavors from around the world but not over the top exotic. Our top picks of the night were the Spicy Rock Shrimp and the Shrimp and Avocado Salad. If you're one who may not be too adventurous to go to an authentic international cuisine restaurant, Fat Rabbit may be just for you.
