If you missed Crawfish and Brews this past weekend, here's the 411 on what all went down!
As soon as received our beer glasses and tokens, we headed straight to the back to get our two pounds of authentic Louisiana of crawfish - complete with a piece of corn and potato. To be perfectly honest, I prefer wet rubs on my crawfish, so the crawfish ended up just being average to me. (I would have loved to have some fresh lime juice on the side for that extra zing!)
Needless to say, we came for the crawfish but stayed for the beer. Community Beer Co. never disappoints.
With three drink tokens, I was able to try a few of their other beers since I've only ever tried the Ascension coffee porter.
The Witbier was my favorite of the day. It's light, refreshing, and the perfect match for a crawfish boil.
So if you were dying to go but couldn't make it out this year, I would definitely try to make it out next year. There's nothing like enjoying crawfish with others who share the same love for crawfish under the Texas sun whilst enjoying cold beer and some live acoustic jams. What more can I say? These guys really know how to put together a Louisiana Crawfish Boil. Cheers!
