Texas Scratch Kitchen

Texas Scratch Kitchen is the newest restaurant in the Pavilion Center near Inwood Village. When you walk in, you'll notice a homey ambiance with a modern twist. This is mirrored in the food, as the menu is reminiscent of southern home cooked meals but with an added flair.

The chef of this wonderful establishment has cooking experience in different regions of the country and has incorporated his culinary versatility throughout the menu. As you'll see as you scroll down, there are a multitude of options to choose from. They have everything - from salads, flatbreads, sandwiches and burgers to traditional Texan home-style meals like braised BBQ short ribs and chicken fried steak. 

We'll tell you up front, it's not easy to decide what to get because everything sounds super tasty, so we'll do y'all a favor and help you decide what to order. Here's what we got:

Seared "Big Eye" Tuna
South Padre Crab Cakes - Must try! We loved the mango pico de gallo on top.
Gulf Coast Thanksgiving - You may be scared off after reading the description for this bad boy, but all the flavors mesh together surprisingly well for a unique meal you won't find just anywhere.
Chile Naranja Ahi
Blackberry Cobbler
Chocolate Lava Cake - As someone who is indifferent about cake, I devoured their lava cake, and especially loved that they topped it with Henry's Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream.

Texas Scratch Kitchen is open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 9pm.
