On Saturday, June 18, the first ever The Boho Market will take over Fair Park.
The Boho Market will bring together local, handcrafted, and vintage items under one roof for vendors to showcase their talent and for attendees like us to admire and support their passion!

1. What sparked the idea of The Boho Market?
As makers ourselves and with a love of event/party planning, we wanted to create another platform for artists and makers to show the local community what they have to offer while creating a party-like event where community is felt. As we began searching for indoor markets, we realized there were not many. We also felt that small shops needed a place to be seen in order to grow their businesses. Taylor, one part of The Boho Market duo, has a small shop herself and has seen limited success selling online. This created conversation between the two of us about creating an event for these types of businesses. We have experience in party and wedding planning so we thought we’d throw both of those passions together and make this happen!
2. What is your mission/goal for this event?
Our mission for this event is to create a place of community for both the vendors/artists and attendees. Our goal all along has been to make this event more than just an event. We want our vendors to make relationships with other vendors that will turn into friendships. It is hard being a business owner, so having other like-minded people around to support and encourage you is what we hope to gain and for others to gain from this. We really hope that vendors leave our event feeling well loved, encouraged, and with connections that will last through just this event.
For our attendees we hope to bring an event that is fun, creative, and worth their time to attend. We have worked really hard to come up with unique ideas that will set us apart and make our event feel like a backyard party with a bunch of friends but with some incredible shopping!
3. What has been your favorite part about planning the event?
Oh goodness this is hard! Our favorite parts have been meeting some of the most amazing, genuine, hardworking people that are making this event come to life and the fun of dreaming up a vision and seeing it come into reality. We love to decorate and play around with styles so being able to create an event around an image we have had for a long time is really exciting!
4. What can we expect to find at the market in terms of types of vendors
We have over 75 unique, local, vintage, and handmade vendors attending The Boho Market on June 18th. These vendor types include handcrafted jewelry, handmade furniture, local artists – illustrations, photography, paintings, prints, raw element art, live portraits, and hand-lettering, handmade soaps and bath products, vintage furniture and home goods, handmade cosmetics, local boutiques, children’s clothing and accessories, textiles, terrariums, pet collars, henna tattoo artist and products, fair trade products, local bakeries – macarons, cake pops, mini pies, salsa and jams, caramels, and cake jars, handmade farmhouse tables, t-shirts, children’s teepees, handmade wood products such as bowls and platters, and a florist selling flower stems and bouquets. We also have amazing food trucks, local beer, a DJ, games, and the Photo-Wagon photo booth!
