Friday, July 1st

Not Your Father's Fourth of July

Start your holiday weekend off right at Henderson Avenue Block Party!
Visit High Fives, Whippersnapper, Barcadia, and Beauty Bar from 4pm to 2am - you can't afford to miss $1 hot dogs, booze pops, and Jell-O shots!

Patriotic Salute featuring the Allen Philharmonic Winds
Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm
7pm - 9pm
Enjoy a mixture of marches and classic patriotic melodies will fill the air while participating in a multitude of family-friendly activities. Childrens crafts, Glitter Roots by Toni & Guy, as well as a balloon artist all being at 6pm. Get selfies with your free mini American flag and Lady liberty, and end the night entertained by their Light Show finale!
(No outside food or beverage, animals not allowed on the green, alcohol is not permitted.)

Saturday, July 2nd

Granbury's Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration
Granbury Square Plaza
Starting at 10am with a hometown parade, Granbury has a day long celebration. Live music, classic car show, arts & crafts, food vendors, ghost tours, even a 5k run fill your day with fun and fitness. The day closes with a fireworks show over Lake Granbury.

Time to play cornhole, have a water balloon toss, and take part in a photo scavenger hunt, while scarfing on Pit Commander barbecue. Live music from singer/songwriter Luke McGlathery! Did we mention admission is free?

Fireworks set to begin at 9:30pm
Musicians and local performers, as well as food vendors and childrens activities will be available.
(Westbound Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge will also be closed for pedestrians. No coolers allowed.)

Choice of fried chicken or baby back ribs, with blue cheese coleslaw, baked beans and potato salad for $19. Kids can order $3 hot dogs or $5 burgers. Reserve your spot on the Trinity Grove patio (214-377-0757) or take your picnic to-go and enjoy Red, White and Boom on the Bridge.

Gates open at 3pm. General Admission is $5.
The Family Fun Park features pony rides, petting zoo, obstacle course, zip line, bounce houses, face paint, and more! Following the last race is their spectacular 20-minute firework display choreographed to music.

Hotter 'n Firecrackers 5K Glow Run AND Dachshund Dash
Frisco Square
Register for the 5K online ($30-$35) or day of the race ($40) from 6pm - 8:45pm. Don't forget to wear your brightest fluorescent gear and glow sticks!
Registration and check-in for the Dachshund Dash begins at 7:30pm and the $10 entry fee benefits the Collin County Animal Shelter. The puppy fun begins at 8pm.

a dog kissing booth, lots of eats and drinks, and a dunking booth!
1pm - 5pm Classic car, truck and cycle show at the corner of Tennessee and Davis.

5:30pm - 9:30pm Family fun, activities and food
8pm - 9:30pm Concert with Blue Water Highway Band

Brass Knuckle Corn Dog Beatdown

No better way to celebrate America than watching people compete for gold by eating the most hot dogs. Think you have what it takes? Entry is free and registrations are already being accepted. Beatdown begins at 5:30pm.

9am grub on some breakfast tacos while watching Park Citys 4th of July Parade, provided by TacoDeli. In the afternoon hotdogs will be grilled onsite and a barbecue buffet by One90 Smoked meats will keep your belly happy during the fireworks show.

Dallas Heritage Village
10am - 3pm
Free admission
Picnicking, parade, games and activities will fill your 4th at Dallas Heritage Village. Decorate your red wagon at the craft station to participate in the parade that begins at noon. Tons of carnival games will fill the village, even learn to juggle like a clown at their Circus in the Park. Heck, even learn how to milk a cow at the Dairy Day area!
