Barley & Board Winter Menu

Winter may still be a couple weeks away, but Barley and Board is already celebrating colder weather with new winter menu options! Last week, we got a taste of all the additions, and we came to a consensus - they are well worth the drive.

Under small plates, they've added the Buratta Cheese. It is so, SO good. The cheese is extra creamy and is perfectly paired with a bed of fresh beet salad. Highly recommend this app!

The new Roasted Cauliflower flatbread is also one of my favorites of the night. With a touch of both Northern African and Indian influence, Chef Kelley created this flavorful dish topped with garam masala ricotta, lemon, pickled onion, and capers. All I can say is - where has this flatbread been all my life?!

As for sandwiches, they've added The House Reuben and Harvest Turkey. Both sandwiches are delicious, but we both agreed that the turkey sandwich is the way to go. It tastes exactly like Thanksgiving dinner, and I know what you're thinking. Thanksgiving was just a couple weeks ago. I'm all turkey'd out! No worries, I thought the same thing, but the sandwich was SO good that I didn't care. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays so why not relive the feast all through winter?!

Now for the large plates, they've added three new dishes - Soba - dass Noodles, Mr. Shankly, and Scottish Salmon. The soba noodles plate is a nice light dish and completely vegan, might I add. The lamb shank is divine. The meat literally falls off the bone! We didn't personally try the salmon, but we heard great things!

Last, but certainly not least, we present you the B&B Burger! This is not one of the winter menu additions, but because it was named one of Dallas' best burgers by D Magazine, we had to share! It's incredibly juicy and the house sauce is unreal. If you're just driving to Denton for this burger, it's 100% worth it.

A big thank you to Barley & Board for having us at their winter menu preview. There are few places we would drive out to Denton for, but we never hesitate when it comes to them.
