Alright, y'all. It's the new year, 2017, and with the new year comes new goals and new resolutions. We are now five days in, how are we doing everyone?!
As cliche as it is, one of my goals involves health and fitness - I mean whose doesn't?! If you're one of the many who make it their goal to get back into shape this year, join the club! I recently checked out Vital Studio in Downtown and was so blown away, that I had to share my experience, especially to those who are looking to step up their workout game.
In late last year, Vital closed their doors for remodeling. Before then, the classes held were limited to yoga. Once they reopened, the one main room became two, and the types of classes offered expanded. You can now choose from any of the following:
Vital Ride - 45-minute dynamic ride
Rhythm Ride - 45-minute choreographed rhythm-based ride
V3 - 55-minute blend of high-intensity intervals, strenght-training circuits, and vinyasa flow yoga
TRX/KB Conditioning - TRX suspension training and kettlebell conditioning
Revitalize - Deep stretch yoga class with foam rollers and trigger point tools
Flex & Flow - Hybrid class of strength-training circuits and vinyasa flow yoga
Every third Sunday, Vital Fitness offers a Crunch & Brunch class that includes one-hour core focused cycling or group fitness class at 10:15am, followed by brunch at CBD Provisions or Americano. It only $40/person and relaunches this Spring!
Private training is also available for individual or group sessions.
I took the Flex & Flow class, and it completely took me by surprise. I was expecting it to be a little slower paced like most yoga classes, but it was so, SO much more. I failed to read the part in the description of the class that mentions "fast-paced movements keep your heart rate up, while strengthening the powerhouse muscles." Boy, was I in for a major shock. We were moving the entire time. I definitely sweat my butt off! It was an incredible workout, and I would highly recommend taking this class if you're looking to get in a solid workout. The great thing about their classes is that it doesn't matter where you are on the fitness scale. Whether you're a beginner or pro, the classes are designed to offer you a great workout regardless.
Here's a peek at their cycling studio! I LOVED the set up, and the best part is, the lights change with the beat of the music! I can't wait to try out one of their cycling classes (along with all of the others).
And of course, if the rest of the studio weren't great enough already, I had to show it off.
The studio is located in downtown, but they've made parking a breeze. They offer complimentary valet at The Joule, or you can self-park in the DalPark Garage for 2-hours of free parking (just ask them to validate).
