Toulouse - Regional Menu Week

Lombardi Family Concepts (aka Taverna, Penne Pomodoro, and Toulouse Cafe and Bar) has a new one-of-a-kind dinner series planned through 2017. Each month, all restaurants will feature a unique Regional Dinner Menu for one week - Taverna and Penne Pomodoro to showcase the cuisine of Italy and Toulouse Cafe and Bar to showcase the dishes of France. Owner of Lombardi Family Concepts, Alberto Lombardi said they're "using local ingredients and traditional preparation techniques" to capture the authentic flavors of France and Italy during their Regional Menu Week.

Last month, I experienced Toulouse’s Journey in Alsace menu. I had always heard great things about this restaurant and was excited that I would get to visit while they had this special menu available! 

At no surprise, Toulouse blew me away. Each course was unlike anything I've had recently, which was really refreshing. Disclaimer: I've never had authentic French food, but if someone said that the food at Toulouse was as authentic as it gets in Dallas, I would believe it! The flavors were not too overpowering or too heavy, and at the end of it all (THREE courses and THREE wine pairings), I wasn't uncomfortably stuffed.

The featured dishes may be purchased separately at the listed prices or all together for a set price ranging from $35 to $59, depending on the location. Exquisite wine pairings are offered at an additional cost.

This month's Regional Menu Week starts next Monday, March 20, and will run until March 26. Here are menus for each concept:

- Toulouse – Journey In Normandie
- Taverna – Sagra dell’Agnello
- Penne Pomodoro – Veneto
