Marissa's story

I grew up in Grapevine, TX, about a 30 minute drive from the heart of Dallas. I was always convinced that Dallas was among the most boring and lifeless cities out there. When I moved to Richardson, TX to attend the University of Texas at Dallas (Go Comets!), I slowly got a taste of what the city really has to offer. I graduated with my Bachelor's of Finance and Accounting in December of 2014 and immediately jumped into the world of public accounting at a local firm in Uptown Dallas. After commuting for a few months, I decided it was finally time to make the move into the city.

The more time I spent in the city of Dallas, the more I fell in love. Dallas is filled with hidden and not-so-hidden gems, and I made it my mission to share them with my fellow Dallasites. Whether you're new to the area or have lived here forever, there is plenty out there yet to be discovered.

Erin's Story

After graduating from Oklahoma State University, I moved back to Euless with a whole new look on life. On top of trying to find a job I could really love, I wanted to continue making smart and healthy choices: being active and eating well. Looking to Dallas, I knew I could find plenty of places to keep me active, but also be super accommodating to my being lactose intolerant (it is not easy to find vegan cheese in the suburbs).

I’m super excited to share my two cents on my experiences in Dallas as I start this new chapter in my life. Hopefully it can help out others who have picky stomachs like mine!

  1. It's a beautiful place, having such an open and joyous feeling to it. It's totally amazing! This is definitely a wonderful place to spend time. It's plenty fun to sit at venues in Chicago and enjoy food and drinks with amazing conversations.
